2 volunteers are needed - 1 at each end of the serving line to monitor meals being delivered from the kitchen to the tables. Essentially these volunteers are a huge help to eliminate confusion with orders.

Volunteers will help serve Easter Meals to the public followed by clean up. This role waits on the public completely. Whatever they need, these volunteers provide. We want to treat our community like royalty. But all work is in the dining room and NOT the kitchen. Further details will be given prior to start of the shift.

Volunteers will help prepare the Easter Meals for:  deliveries, sit-down meal and take-out meals. Please wear a baseball hat. And, females, please tie long hair back. We will provide gloves and aprons. But if you have your own apron, by all means wear it!

This shift is from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. Volunteers will have breaks when needed and will have lunch around 11:45 am.

End time for event may be earlier than 3pm.

Holiday Meal Delivery 10:45am – 1:30pm

Volunteers will deliver prepared Easter meals to the elderly, disabled and house-bound. Routes, phone numbers and special directions will be given upon arrival. Our team will help load your vehicle. Delivery times may be longer or shorter depending on the routes and number of addresses each volunteer will be given.

It is helpful if you can bring a friend with you to help you with directions and deliveries and a GPS / Phone app for directions.

Breakfast: 6:00am – 8:00am

Volunteers will arrive at 6 a.m. to help prepare and serve breakfast to residents and the public followed by clean up.

Breakfast for residents is at 6:30; Breakfast for the public is at 7 a.m.

Please remember to wear your SRM or other hat, closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back. (SRM can provide mesh hair coverings if needed.)

Enter the Public Breakfast Door to the left of the Visitor Entrance. Volunteers may park in the spaces in front of that door.

·       Residents, staff, volunteers & visitors: 12pm - 12:30pm

·       Homeless/community guests - 12:30pm - 1pm followed by clean up.

Volunteers will help prepare the lunch bags and load the van with food, water, and other items to be distributed at various locations to the homeless and poverty-stricken in the community.

Please remember to follow the lead of the SRM Chaplain in all locations when serving the homeless. He has the right to guide and direct volunteers in order to keep all concerned safe and at peace.

Volunteers will work alongside the GAC Assistant to organize, restock and assist guests who have appointments to shop for items. Volunteers may also be asked to cross over to the warehouse for additional support.

We need help prepping our T-shirt give-a-way for the Run to End Homelessness 5K/10K participants. Volunteers will come into the office to help fold or roll t-shirts and pack into the appropriate categorized bin. Depending on how many people we have, this job could be done in less time allocated.

Assist at the t-shirt pick-up tables by handing out shirts, organizing sizes, and helping ensure a smooth and efficient distribution for participants.

Stationed along the running course, Route Monitors guide participants in the correct direction, especially at turns and split points. They provide clear, visible direction, offer encouragement to runners, and help keep the course flowing safely. Route Monitors may also communicate any issues on the course to event staff or coordinators as needed. No prior experience required—just attentiveness, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help keep runners on track. Bundle up in case the winter chill is still among us!

We will have a table of raffle prizes at the Spaghetti Dinner at the Basketball Hall of Fame. We need people to tend the table, explain how it works, make sure guests write their name of the tickets and have fun socializing.
